Filter Coffee Training

This training is both for professional baristas and coffee fanatics who want to know more about this style of coffee making.
First you will hear about how coffee is grown and about different coffee processing methods. Then we introduce different filter coffee brewing methods and learn how to use these coffee makers: different filters on a cup, Chemex, Aeropress.
The aim of this course is to make the brewing of high-quality coffee available to everyone.

  • the basics of coffee and the effect of altitude, climate and coffee cultivars on flavour;
  • the coffee cherry and its processing methods; why it is called a ‘cherry’ and how a cherry pit led to the discovery of coffee;
  • the art of pouring; and ‘coffee bloom’ and ‘tail practice’.
